 My story

My love for fashion comes from all the women who have raised me. Ever since my dad passed away it’s always been me, my mom, my grandma, and my sisters. fashion was something that consumed me. From the hours spent at the mall, to the countless magazines I read while waiting at the nail-solon, and all the morning's I watched my mom pick out my outfits for school. Fashion became a form of armer, and a way to tell people exactly who I am without saying a word. Growing up I began to realize that my love for fashion and femininity was something people didn’t understand or agree with. Society and my peers made me believe that people had to act, look, and think a certain way depending on their gender, ethnicity, social class, etc. I began to suppress parts of myself. this caused me to miss out on opportunities and held me back from chasing my drams. By fully embracing myself I began to regain my confidence. I realized that people don’t have to agree with who I am; and that no matter what label or preconceived notion is put on me I can still chase my dreams and aspirations in life. I want to help people fall in love with themselves through fashion like I have; by celebrating individuality and creativity through my designs.
